Wilmer Valderrama was petrified from the first table reading of this 70s show

In an interview with Wilmer Valderrama for behind the scenes special this was done when the finale aired, the star explained that the first table reading was terrible for him and all of his co-stars on the set. “Going back to the first table reading, the first rehearsal, those were some of the scariest things any of us had to go through, because none of us [us] knew each other, we were testing the ground, none of us really knew how to hit the target,” he said. “It was one of those things you have to learn all over again. But the beauty of it is that we figured it out very, very early, and we sort of worked it out with each other. And it was wonderful. If it wasn’t because we were with each other and grew up with each other, it would have been a completely different show.”

In 2018 Wilmer Valderrama published on Instagram, the first photo of the entire cast 20 years prior in 1998 with love for their castmates, demonstrating that the friendship formed behind the scenes continues to this day. “We spent 8 years and 200 episodes together, we traveled the world… we grew up together. We were a family and always will be,” he wrote.

In 2022 Diversity announced that the reboot of the show, called That ’90s Show, would feature most of the original cast, including Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Valderrama, Kurtwood Smith, and Debra Jo Rupp. Since the actors remain friends all these years after the initial chart is read, they have all the chemistry needed for the reboot.
