What The Impractical Jokers Imagine Dragons Opening Concert Was Like

You can watch the Imagine Dragons final challenge at YouTube as it was on TruTV. From the way it’s presented, Sal Vulcano and Joe Gatto have played around a bit amid all the booing from the crowd. However, if social media is to be believed, the concert may actually have gone better than what was featured on the show.

Don’t get us wrong; Vulcano and Gatto are unable to play musical instruments to save their lives, but there is reason to believe that the crowd understood that this piece was being played for comedy. Under the YouTube video, there are comments from people who said they were actually on the show. One user said, “Actually I was at this concert… they cut the good parts out of the songs and left only the cut parts. Also, in real life, the audience laughed more than booed, so they obviously edited it to make it look like they were ruining the concert.”

Elsewhere on YouTube, someone uploaded their own concert video. These are completely unedited 20-minute footage of Vulcano and Gatto lounging around on stage. While there are certainly some boos, most people seem to be in jest, with one commenter writing, “Please note that the audience was not as blunt as in the episode.” Naturally, television thrives on conflict, so it makes sense to embellish the truth a bit. But no matter what lens you put on it, the only performance of “Señor Lanza” was funny.
