The spin-off show, which premiered on Peacock in March 2022, left viewers with an unforgettable experience when it came to infighting, layoffs and chaos. Before the show aired Ayesha Scott hinted that her professional relationship with Ryan was rapidly changing. “If arrogance was the personification, it would be Ryan. He is a very arrogant person,” the New Zealand native shared exclusively with Us weekly in March 2022, calling Ryan “difficult” to communicate. “I think it’s something that everyone — not just chefs — finds it hard to be around someone who is arrogant.”

At the time, Jason gave insight into how he prefers to discipline his team like their boss.
“[If someone gets] other people’s problems get in the way, then I let the crew deal with it themselves. Then they themselves begin to understand that we will stick together, ”he explained. “Let’s just not go there. Let’s just not. Let’s enjoy our working atmosphere, respect each other, enjoy and have fun.”

Ryan’s memorial
After ups and downs with Ayesha and Jason, Ryan was eventually fired from M/Y Thalassa on the June 2022 episode. The chef made a dramatic exit from the boat after showing his ass to his former boss and the camera.
