Tristan Thompson reaches deal with Marali Nichols: report

Work on it. Tristan Thompson reportedly settled his paternity suit with Marali Nicholswith whom he has a 12-month-old son Theo.

The 31-year-old NBA player will pay the fitness model $9,500 a month in child support, according to a report from TMZ. The former Boston Celtics forward also paid for some of Nichols’ legal fees.

Nichols reportedly remains sole custody of the baby, who celebrated his first birthday earlier this month. According to the publication, the duo will work out a visiting schedule at a later date.

In December 2021, it was revealed that Nichols was suing Thompson for child support. Days later Us weekly exclusively confirmed that Nichols had given birth after claiming she and the athlete were having an affair in March 2021.

When the paternity suit became known, Thompson secretly returned with Khloe Kardashian, whom he has met sporadically since 2016. The Canadian native and the 38-year-old reality TV star also conceived their second child together, which fans found out in July. The former couple, who also share four-year-old daughter True, gave birth to a son in August.

A month after Nichols’ lawsuit was made public, Thompson confirmed he was Theo’s father and publicly apologized to the Kardashians. “Chloe, you don’t deserve this,” he wrote on Instagram in January. “You do not deserve the heartache and humiliation that I caused you. You don’t deserve the way I’ve treated you all these years. My actions definitely didn’t match the way I look at you. I have great respect and love for you. Whatever you may think. Again, I’m incredibly sorry.”

During the June issue Kardashian, the Good American co-founder said she learned of Thompson’s paternity suit when the public found out. In one scene, her sister Kim Kardashian called her to warn her about the lawsuit. “What? What the hell is this?” Chloe said before telling Selfish The author, aged 42, was not aware of the legal situation. “No. What the fuck. My God. It can’t be.”

In a candid interview, Khloe added: “I will find out what Tristan is doing with the rest of the world. It would be polite not to. But okay, if you do, you’re not even going to scold me in front of the rest of the world? It’s just an extra slap in the face. It’s humiliating. I’m confused.”
