SSTRICTLY Come Dancing found itself embroiled in “underplay” due to the fan favorite falling short of expectations.
The BBC’s flagship series, which aired live on Friday this week, took center stage during a tense quarter-final.
The final six couples danced to songs from the show during the Strictly themed Musical Week.
However, despite the fact that wildlife photographer Hamza Yassin, who proved to be extremely popular with the public, dazzled with his show The Lion King, he failed to score 10 points.
Hamza and professional partner Yovita Przystal danced samba to “The Lion King” song “They Live In You”.
Their emotional performance was highly praised by all four judges, in particular by Craig Revel Horwood, who highlighted Hamza’s spectacular solo moves.

Chief Justice Shirley Ballas told Hamza that his hard work in fixing the “turned in fee” was “noticed and appreciated” as she praised his dance in which he played baby Simba and Jovita played Nala.
Fans took to Twitter to announce the score after Hamza scooped up four nines for a total of 36 – without ten rackets drawn.
One was indignant: “AGAIN, you underestimated Hamza a lot.
“Too many times you underestimated him and you CANNOT convince me that Molly out of time (3rd after drama school) was better than him.
“Stop and start giving him points.”
The other then yelled, “I’M CRYING FOR Hamza!! It had to be exactly 10, of course? I feel that this answer of the judges did not reflect their assessment? #strictly”.
A third added: “I have to agree with that, I don’t often have an opinion on judging, after all, I don’t know anything technically, but I almost passed out in annoyance after Hamza didn’t get 10s, which as an amateur I thought easily matched Molly. #strictly”.
Then one of them thought: “How did Hamza get these comments from the judges and not get a single 10?? It makes #strictly sense.”
Another concluded, “The samba song is slower than usual, praised for the technique, but still all 9 for Hamza? Why does it seem to me that they were told to restrain him?”
Meanwhile, Will Mellor scored a staggering 39 out of 40 and was pictured holding back tears as he topped the leaderboard with his Miss Saigon program.
Anton Du Beke was thrilled to watch Will dance with all his heart.
Helen Skelton also stunned the judges with her racy performance in the Couple’s Choice category, earning the same points as Will.
Fans may have to change their plans for the weekend as the results are shown tonight instead of the traditional Sunday slot.
However, many are already “furious” after a spoiler leaked the name of a celebrity who didn’t make it to the semi-finals.
