Steven “tWitch” Boss expressed gratitude for the blessings in his life two weeks before he committed suic*de on Tuesday, December 13 at the age of 40.
“Thank you for the family. Grateful for health. Grateful for love. Grateful for life. Sending you so much love from our family to yours.” – Former The Ellen DeGeneres Show DJ wrote via Instagram on Thanksgiving last month next to his picture with his wife, Allison Holkerand their children.
Boss and Holker, 34, who exchanged vows in December 2013, have three children: Maddox, 6, Zaya, 3, and Wesley, 14, Holker’s daughter from a previous relationship, whom Boss adopted.
The couple met as All-Stars in season 7 of the series So you think you can dance in 2010 and celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary just days before Boss’s d*ath.
“We are 9 years old!! I couldn’t be more grateful for celebrating this beautiful magical day!!! Saying YES to @sir_twitch_alot was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life! I feel so blessed and loved!! I love you baby and I will never take you or OUR love for granted! I LOVE YOU,” Holker wrote on Instagram on Saturday, December 10, along with a video of photos from the wedding.
Ellen Alums, for their part, also celebrated the event on social media on Saturday.
“Happy anniversary my love @allisonholker #9years ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” he captioned the Instagram carousel of photos from the special day.
The dancer’s last post on the platform before his d*ath was a video of him and his wife dancing by the Christmas tree, posted to both of their accounts. “HOLIDAY SUNDAY FUNDAY DANCE!!! With my beloved @sir_twitch_alot 🥹,” Holker signed the post on Monday, December 12.
After Boss’s d*ath, the comments section of the clip was flooded with messages of love and support.
“It really doesn’t feel real,” Holker’s colleague says. Dancing with the Stars about Sharna Burgess wrote. “We are sending you and your children so much love and please let us know how we can best support you. I’m so sorry, Allison 💔.”
dance moms alum Maddy Ziegler, member SYTYCD family, also commented, “This can’t be true. Allison, I send you and your beautiful children so much love. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
Holker addressed her husband’s d*ath on Wednesday.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share that my husband Stephen has left us,” the Minnesota native said in a statement to E! News. “Stephen lit up every room he entered. He valued family, friends, and community above all else, and leadership with love and light was everything to him. He was the pillar of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”
