SHAKIRA’S on the attack on his former football player Gerard Piqué and his new relationship in her latest single is like a whirlwind of romance rumors.
The Colombian pop star left no doubt that in the explosive lyrics of her new track, she is referring to her ex-partner and his young sweetheart.

“I stand two 22s. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio,” she sings in the new song.
Former Barcelona defender Piqué revealed he was dating 23-year-old Clara Chia Marti shortly after his high-profile split from Shakira in June 2022.
Since then, the former couple, who lived for 11 years, have been embroiled in a bitter custody battle over their two sons before finally agreeing to a deal in the New Year.
There are currently unconfirmed rumors that Piqué had an affair with Clara prior to his official split from Hips Don’t Lie singer this summer.
The obvious attacks on Clara continue with the lines: “She has the name of a good person.
“Obviously, that’s not how it sounds.”
The song “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol 53” is a collaboration with popular Argentinean producer Bizarrap and has been released in Spanish only so far.
“I see” is the English translation of “Claramente” – a more direct reference to Pique’s new fling.
However, the former football legend certainly didn’t escape unscathed when Shakira sings, “Lots of gyms. But use your brain a little.”
Another line reads “From love to hate is just one step” before Shakira adds, “No offense baby, I wish you the best with my intended replacement.”
On January 11, only a small part of the text was leaked, but it was enough to warn listeners of the coming storm.
“I’m too big for you, so you’re with the same as you” – this is a lyric that the listeners immediately associated with Piqué and Clara.
Shakira returned to the music scene after her relationship ended. Two other recent singles, Te Felicito and Monotonía contained more cryptic references to Piqué.
Recent reports in Spain have alleged that the former Manchester United star allegedly cheated on Shakira.
Then the video of the 2021 interview with Pique resurfaced, which seems to show Clara in the frame at the time when Shakira’s team claims: “they were still together.”
