Shining like a rainbow! Selena Gomez showed a new colorful hairstyle – and an unconventional, but comfortable way to style it.

The 30-year-old My Mind & Me singer opened up about her dramatic transformation in a shared video. via TikTok on Thursday, December 8th. In the video, Gomez is seen crouching under a hand dryer in a public restroom, running his fingers over his new multi-colored crown. After styling her mane—yellow, pink, blue, and purple—Gomez giggled into the camera.

“You have to do what you have to,” she signed the post on the social network.

Fans were quick to share their reactions, praising Gomez’s transformation in the comments section. “The wig suits her so well,” one fan wrote. A second follower commented, “Why do you literally look good with every hair color.”

Others applauded her use of a makeshift hair dryer. “OH GOD, it’s great to see your favorite celebrity doing what you [did] so many years and thought you were alone, ”wrote a third fan. Another added, “She’s just like me.”

Gomez has never been shy about changing her look over the years. Her most prominent transformation is arguably her decision to switch from her trademark brunettes to blondes in 2021.

Her hairdressers Nikki Lee as well as Riona Capri said Refinery29 that year that “the whole process took 200 foils, several bowls of bleach, and 8 hours of hair magic.”

The “Lose You to Love Me” singer also experimented with caramel highlights, blue and purple streaks in her hair, and red streaks on her mane. She’s also not afraid to cut her hair or get extensions.

Most recently, on Saturday, Dec. 3, the Rare Beauty founder let down her dark locks and headed to the Variety Hitmaker’s Brunch in Los Angeles. Her smoky eyeshadow complemented the beauty of the brunette, and she opted for a natural face.

Her velvet Toteme maxi dress hugged her figure beautifully at the event. Gomez went for a black-on-black look for her open-toed shoes. To add color to the ensemble, she went for hot pink, blue and green nails and added gold bangles.
