Robbie Williams is set to ring in 2022 with a special performance in Dubai.
Rock DJ singer Atlantis will perform for a special New Year’s Eve concert at The Palm.
Robbie, 47, takes to the stage at the Palm Jumeirah Hotel’s New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner at Astir Tent on December 31.
The chart topper – who has 18 Brit Awards – will showcase her biggest hits including Angels and Let Me Entertain You, while a record-breaking effort for the world’s largest drinking glass pyramid with Moet & Chandon also takes place on the night.
Timothy Kelly, Managing Director of Atlantis Dubai, said: “We are incredibly excited to welcome world-class talent Robbie Williams to Dubai for New Year’s Eve. 2021 has been challenging for all of us, and we look forward to welcoming our guests. We look forward to giving you one of the most memorable evenings of his life as we start a new year.
It comes as Gary Barlow revealed that Take That will return in 2023 — and hit the road for a series of live dates.
After going solo, he told the Irish Sun: “I am desperate to be back in the band.
“By the time Christmas comes, it’ll be the end of a big chapter for me. I’ll have toured two albums and it’ll be the end of this solo chapter for me and I’ll be ready for the next wave of Take That.”
Manband last performed to sell out crowds two years ago as part of their Odyssey: Greatest Hits Live Tour.
Gary, who turned 50 in January, has been unable to convince bandmate Jason Orange to return.
Jason, 51, went off the radar in 2014 when he stepped back from the band for good, following in Robbie’s footsteps.
While Robbie is back on the mark, joining the band on stage on The X Factor when he was a judge in 2018 and performing with them during a virtual gig in May of last year, Jason has all along with the group. Ties cut off.
So the comeback will consist of just Gary, 49-year-old Mark Owen and 53-year-old Howard Donald.
Take That has sold 45 million albums worldwide, eight of which went to #1 in the UK.
He also has 12 No 1 singles and has won eight Brit Awards.
Tickets for the Palm Jumeirah Hotel’s New Year’s Eve gala dinner start at Dh4,950 for ages 14 and up; Dh2,950 for those 4-13; Free for 3 and under. more information atlantis.com/dubai/whats-on/new-years-eve
