2022 has been a wildly important year for Rebel Wilson, between going out with his girlfriend Ramona Agrumah and giving birth to her daughter. She really shocked everyone with her big news and she finally let fans know about the moment she realized she wanted to be with a woman.
In a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter, Wilson said her on-screen kiss on set Almond and seahorse with her co-star Charlotte Gainsbourg “opened” her heart. She said, “I’ve never kissed a woman before, so I was like, ‘Oh God, how is that going to be?’ If I hadn’t had an experience with Charlotte or an experience with another woman, I don’t know if I would have ever met [her partner Ramona Agruma]”.
Pitch perfect Alum added: “This experience opened my heart to this possibility. I am grateful for these two experiences. It completely changed my love life.”
Wilson went on to say that the experience gave her the confidence to explore those feelings off the set as well. “Then, oddly enough, after kissing her in my professional life, I thought, well, maybe I should do it for real in my personal life and see how things go, which I did. It was in 2021 and at the end of 2021 I met Ramona,” she said. “But kissing Charlotte was a big deal for me. I was so nervous that day because she is so cool and I was very stressed. But it was great,” she said.
If you didn’t know Fuss the star took to Instagram publicly in June 2022, posting a snapshot of her and Agrumah with the caption, “I thought I was looking for a Disney prince… but maybe all this time I really needed a Disney princess 💗🌈💗#loveislove.”
The shocking news comes days after Andrew Hornery of the Sydney Morning Herald planned to publish an article that would expose it. But the ordeal led to a long and happy life for Wilson: she and Agrumah became mothers in November 2022.
Wilson shocked the world by announcing that they had a daughter named Royce Lillian by a surrogate mother. She posted a photo of her little one with the caption, “Apart from being proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lilian, born last week by surrogate mother 💗 I can’t even describe my love for her, she is beautiful. miracle! I am infinitely grateful to everyone who took part (you know who you are), it took years… but I would especially like to thank my gorgeous surrogate mother who carried and gave birth to her with such grace and care. Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s an amazing gift. Best gift!! I’m ready to give little Royce all the love imaginable. I’m a fast learner… big respect to all moms! Proud to be in your club. 💗💗💗”
