As many know, Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have been estranged from the family since they announced in January 2020 that they no longer want to work as members of the royal family. They settled in Montecito, California. New York Post reported.

Harry’s tainted relationship with his family hit a new low in March 2021 when he and Markle gave an explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey. In it, Harry, 38, criticized the way he was raised by his father and expressed regret that his father and brother, Prince William, were “stuck” in their royal roles.

In the same interview, Markle tearfully stated that she contemplated suicide while pregnant with their son Archie due to the pressure and treatment on the lives of the royal family from the British media.

They were delighted when the separated brothers, along with their wives, cheered the crowd gathered at Windsor Castle, two days after the Queen’s death.

But a few gaffes seem to have prevented the détente.

Harry was distraught when her initials were removed from the military uniform in which he was allowed to stand guard at his grandmother’s coffin.

The Duke and Duchess were also invited and then “uninvited” to a state reception for world leaders and foreign royalty. Page Six has exclusively revealed that they learned of the cancellation of the invitation after reading press reports.

The couple also disliked the seating arrangement at the funeral, where they sat not in the front row with the King and 40-year-old William, but in the corner of the second row next to his cousin, Princess Beatrice.

“You would have thought that all members of the family would unite and support the king, especially,” said a source close to King Charles. “Perhaps some wounds can be healed in the process.”

“She knew that conflicts are part of life, and did not hold a grudge against them. More than anything, she wanted to see her family happy,” the insider added.
