Consolidation of forces. Prince William as well as Prince Harry sent a joint letter to Henry Van Straubenzee’s annual Christmas Carols concert.
Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Foundation was the first charity to be patronized by the princes, and honors a late classmate, Harry, who died in a car accident in 2002 at the age of 18. Their letter was delivered in order of service at Thursday’s Christmas carol service in London, which was attended by James Middleton as well as Pippa Middleton.
The van Straubenzee Memorial Foundation supports education and fights poverty in Uganda.
“Tonight, as you gather under this roof, the charity is supporting 51 kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in rural Uganda, where 1,700 projects have been completed and each year more than 35,000 children are receiving an education they would not otherwise have received. . ”, — wrote 40-year-old William and 38-year-old Harry.
They also paid tribute to their late friend 20 years after his d*ath. “Those of us who knew Henners will always miss his mischievous charm and jovial sense of humor,” they added.
The charity is about to wind down, but the brothers said, “Henry’s legacy will live on through the incredible accomplishments his mom and dad have made over the years.”
William and Harry wished the members “a pleasant evening and a Merry Christmas”.
The joint statement came amid tensions between members of the royal family. “[When Harry stepped back from his royal duties]William was having a really hard time and I think that’s part of the reason this rift hasn’t been resolved because, you know, William can’t quite forgive Harry for what he did.” – Royal Expert Cathy Nicholl exclusively told Us weekly in October.
She continued, “It had a huge impact on him, on [Princess] Ekaterina, about their young family. It put them in this first-class center. This moved them into the spotlight much sooner than otherwise. … I think William always expected his brother to support him. And I think it wasn’t just that Harry decided to go and leave. I think a lot of it had to do with the way he chose to do it and what William felt was a lot of disrespect for the institution and for himself, for his family, for his grandmother.”
Neither prince attended the hymn service, as both were in America. The Duke of Suss*x moved to Montecito, California in 2020 with his wife. Meghan Markle after they stepped down from their duties as senior members of the royal family. “Catherine and I are delighted to be back in the United States and extremely grateful to Governor Baker and the First Lady of Massachusetts,” the Prince and Princess of Wales shared in a statement via Twitter on Wednesday, November 30. “On this occasion, our first overseas visit since the d*ath of my grandmother, I would like to thank the people of Massachusetts and especially Boston for their many tributes to the late Queen. She recalled with great fondness her bicentenary visit in 1976.”
