The documentary series about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Netflix caused a lot of controversy last week, and despite everyone wanting the British royal family to fight back, they seem to stick to their well-known motto of “keep calm and carry on.” However, there is something that everyone is equally worried about: “Will King Charles III officially strip them of their titles?”
Since King Charles came to power this year, many have wondered when and if he will strip his youngest son and wife of their titles, but so far he has stood firm on the fact that he does not touch them – and on this time is not too different. After the first half of the Harry and Meghan docu-series aired, pundits and insiders alike said it would no longer touch their titles (but that’s for an insanely calculated reason!)
One royal expert told Page Six exactly what will happen with this: King Charles will not be touching their titles anytime soon. “The king would most likely never think of stripping them of their title…mainly because it would be too petty and punitive,” they said. “It will only lead to the Suss*xes saying it was a retaliatory action and proof that they were never needed in the royal family.”
Basically, this person is claiming that Charles won’t strip them of their titles because they believe Harry and Meghan will use that as ammunition in their claims that the palace never wants her there.
Now Harry and Meghan’s titles have been a major point of contention for the couple, with many people wondering why they kept the title despite disowning the family in 2018. Many believe that Harry could have easily stripped him of his title, but for the past few years, months, these two have been under the microscope for using their titles on their stationery and more.
