Today the former glamor model was spared from prison and given a 16-week sentence suspended for 12 months, 100 hours of unpaid work, 20 sessions of rehab work with probation, and a two-year driving ban.
Katie’s critics shared their outrage on Twitter following the court’s decision.
One fan said: “Katie Price escapes prison… Incredible.
“He has been accused of traffic offenses, that’s a disgrace!!! U or I will be in jail. A mockery of the system.”
Another said: “The judicial system in this country is a af****n joke, how soon would they stop me if I took drugs and was drunk, still banned from driving?”
Another flared up: “Proof you get preferential treatment if you’re famous #KTPrice Banned 5 times & still drinking and driving. Shameful.”
And another asked: “With her prejudices and the circle of this phenomenon (drunk, ripe, already uninsured and uninsured) it’s unbelievable that she wasn’t locked in. And it’s not about the celebrity. .
“George Michael was jailed less. Is gender an issue? #KatiePrice”
The late pop star George was jailed for eight weeks in 2010 after his car crashed into a branch of Snappy Snaps high in cannabis.
Before sentencing, Katie’s friends said she was “determined that she would escape prison” and was preparing for a family Christmas.
Sources said they believe their mother Amy’s battle with lung disease and son Harvey’s disability will help her go to jail.

A friend said: “She is happily planning Christmas. All his plans for the next year are intact. Some close to her are concerned that she is in denial of the position she is in.
“When asked, her response is that she’s been at The Prairie, and they’ll leave her because her family — Amy and Harvey — needs her.
“But the crimes she has admitted are serious and some people are concerned that she is burying her head in the sand.”
