Jana Duggar TLC’s 19 kids and counting She was accused of endangering the welfare of a minor in September 2021 and now, she is revealing the details of that day.
The 31-year-old reality star posted the statement on her Instagram after a lot of media outlets began to speculate whether she had actually been arrested and wondered what happened.

“I’m only sharing this because the media is having a field day with all of this,” Jana started. “I prefer a more private life, but I know that my last name implies that everything we do is open to public criticism and interest, especially during this time.”
“I was looking after the kids a few months back when one of the kids was hanging out alone. Seeing the child, a passerby informed the police. This resulted in a written citation, as well as a follow-up with Child Welfare which concluded that it was an accident and no harm was done to the child. They assumed it was a case of a child slipping out of the house when you turn your back for a moment. It all happened so quickly and was scary. I am grateful to law enforcement and those who protect and serve our community. I was certainly never arrested as some might have implied. In the end I was just upset at myself that it happened at all, but so grateful that it all ended safely and that’s really what meant the most to me. ,
