How Susan Sarandon Feels About Amanda Seyfried’s Thelma & Louise

It’s unclear when Amanda Seyfried and Evan Rachel Wood’s musical adaptation of Thelma & Louise will hit Broadway, but one of the film’s main stars, Susan Sarandon, is thrilled that her adventure with Geena Davis has been turned into a musical. “I think it’s amazing,” Sarandon said in an interview. Diversity. “They are both wonderful. And I hope they have as much fun, enjoy each other and love each other as much as Gina and I do.”

Sarandon and Seyfried crossed paths professionally. Both starred in The Big Wedding in 2013, which featured famous Hollywood heavyweights including Robert De Niro, Robin Williams, Diane Keaton, Katherine Heigl and Topher Grace. Seyfried has spent most of her career in Tinseltown and starred in the musical feature film Mamma Mia! and its weak extension.

Seyfried certainly has the singing talent and acting skills needed for a Broadway show, and she made her stage debut in the Broadway play The Way We Live Back in 2015 (according to Poster). And the playwright is excited about the prospect of performing on Broadway. “So I can finally do something I’ve never done before,” Seyfried said in a video she posted on Instagram. “That’s all I can say about it. Hope there will be more soon. But it’s a lot of work. It’s more fun.”
