Historic NCIS crossover episode was a nightmare to coordinate

Because today’s episodes are interconnected, it took a lot of coordination behind the scenes to make the story come together. While Daniela Rua Instagram shows that making the crossover gave the close-knit actors a chance to build relationships, the actor admitted that filming the episodes was not easy.

“Logistically it’s kind of a nightmare for the producers of every show because you have a set of characters that come to our show or whatever we do, [but] they should probably be at our show in the morning and then, for the regular NCIS, return to Santa Clarita to end the day there,” Rua said. Insider TV. “Schedule coordination was a big, big deal for the producers and a big thank you to them for making it work.”

While the various shows within the NCIS franchise have crossed paths before, tonight is the first time three have been a crossover of three sides. So it makes sense that the filming schedule for these episodes was tighter than usual. Luckily, the minds behind NCIS have been doing this for a long time, so it worked out in the end. The first episode of today’s crossover will be an episode of “NCIS” titled “Too Many Cooks” followed by an episode of NCIS: Hawaii titled “Deep Fake” and ending with NCIS: Los Angeles titled “Long time”. The three-part event airs tonight starting at 8:00 pm EST on CBS.
