Ellen DeGeneres Show DJ Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss Commits Suicide at 40

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share that my husband Stephen has left us,” Boss’s wife, Allison Holker, 34, said in a statement obtained by The Post.

“Stephen lit up every room he entered. He valued family, friends, and community above all else, and leadership with love and light was everything to him. He was the pillar of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”

“I am heartbroken,” DeGeneres said in a statement obtained by The Post. “tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children Wesley, Maddox and Zaya.”

On social media, the former talk show host also shared a post of the couple embracing backstage on her show.

Holker, a professional dancer who also appeared on So You Think You Can Dance, reportedly ran into the Los Angeles police station in a rage, claiming her husband had left home without his car, which she said , doesn’t look like him, according to law enforcement sources.

The police were later called about an incident at a Los Angeles hotel where they found Boss.

“To say he left a legacy would be an understatement and his positive impact will continue to be felt,” Holker continued in her statement.

“I am sure that not a day will go by that we do not honor his memory. We ask for privacy during this difficult time for me and especially for our three children.

“Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”

The Boss started out as a DJ on DeGeneres’ daytime series of the same name in 2014 and became an executive producer in 2020. He stayed with her until the show’s finale in 2022.

He defended his boss amid widespread allegations of toxicity on the talk show, claiming there was a lot of “love” behind the scenes.

“We can’t talk too much about it legally, but I’ll put it this way: there was love,” the 37-year-old dancer told Us Weekly in 2020.

“Obviously there is some work to be done, but from my point of view and from the point of view of countless others, there was love. I’ll just leave it until the time comes when we can speak more publicly. Love was and will be.

The dancer, choreographer and TV presenter began his career as a member of MTV’s The Wade Robson Project in 2003 and then finished second in Star Search.

However, he rose to fame on So You Think You Can Dance, where in 2008 he came in second in Season 4. He appeared as a star in seasons 7-9.

The boss and his wife, who is also a professional dancer, have been hosting Disney’s Fairytale Weddings on Disney+ since 2018.

Holker also appeared on So You Think You Can Dance, first as a contestant on season 2 and then as a star on seasons 7, 8, and 14. She was a professional dancer in the competition show Dancing with the Stars from seasons 19 to 19. 21 and 23.

The couple got married on December 10, 2013 and just celebrated their ninth anniversary.

“We are 9 years old! I am very grateful for the opportunity to celebrate this beautiful magical day!!!” Holker wrote about this on Instagram on Saturday.

“Saying YES to @sir_twitch_alot was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life! I feel so blessed and loved! I love you baby and I will never take you or OUR love for granted! I LOVE YOU.”

People started mourning the d*mise of tWitch on social media.

“Rest my friend,” wrote Ellen executive producer Andy Lassner.

“Damn, this is sad news. Sending prayers to the family and friends of Stephen “tWitch” Boss,” tweeted DJ Pauly D.

“What’s going on here?! This news broke my heart. I love him with #SYTYCD. He was always so joyful and full of life. Always,” said Yvette Nicole Brown.

Some have taken to his latest Instagram post with his wife to express their condolences.

“Sssssssster my heart is broken. I’m so sorry,” commented Tamar Braxton.

“Praying for your family,” wrote Larsa Pippen.

The Boss is survived by wife Allison and three children: Wesley, 14, Maddox, 6, and Zaya, 3.
