Dr. Will Kirby teases tense 'Big Brother' 24 jurors: They were 'very opinionated'

Us weekly: So, this is the eighth time you are holding a round table of the jury.

Dr. Will Kirby: I am honored to be back again! Had a two season hiatus due to COVID but it’s great to spend an evening again challenging the beliefs of evicted guests – I really love this job!

Us: Have you ever been upset because of the jury members during the round table?

Dr. Will: The show’s editors and producers are geniuses and definitely do the hard work because it takes many, many hours to film a round table of the jury. Luckily, they always make me look good! However, the second I get to that level, I become a consummate professional; I know that the jury’s round table is not about me, but about the evicted guests and their personal and collective travels. I want to help them deal with their emotions and try to put aside their personal biases, subjectivity and put a special focus on the last three guests, the game each of them played and why each of them can do the deed to be a winner. . Let’s be clear: $750,000 is a huge amount of money and we really need them to consider all options before casting their vote.

Us: Tell us something about this year’s jury round table. Any teasers?

Dr. Will: I feel like they all got along pretty well in the jury house, but once I started asking a few provocative questions, well, it ignited a spark and a lot of pure emotion was expressed. Several times during the round table, we had to ask several guests to sit down, take a few deep breaths, and calmly reboot. Needless to say, the tension with the jury is heating up!

Us: How is this jury different from the jury of previous years?

Dr. Will: Each jury has its own personality. But I will say that everyone this year (when everything finally calmed down) was reasonable and actively participated. I have been very disappointed in the past because some jurors refused to participate or were so affected and self-obsessed that they simply did not offer anything meaningful. For example, a few years ago we had one grouch who just sat with his arms crossed and refused to speak. I understand! You are upset! But you still need to fulfill your obligations and participate. So, again, some jurors are easier to work with than others, and this year they have been very, very opinionated, which always makes for a great roundtable!

Us: Were you accused of trying to influence the jury?

Dr. Will: Normally I wouldn’t exalt something so ridiculous, but so we can put an end to this once and for all, let me state clearly for the record that absolutely no one asked me to convince a jury to make any particular decision or I ever thought about is to do something similar remotely. I pride myself on honesty, ethics and decency and absolutely do not try to influence the jury.

Us: Does holding a round table of the jury ever make you want to return to the show as a guest? Maybe for the sake of a shorter season of “legends” people continue to speculate?

Dr. Will: To be honest, on very, very rare occasions, I allow myself to be entertained by the thought that maybe one day I will return to the most exciting competition in the world and show these young bucks how to actually play. But I love being an aesthetic dermatologist; this is the best profession on earth and my professional legacy will be the position of chief physician of the country’s leading aesthetic dermatology group LaserAway!

Us: If this season ever happens, who would you like to see compete?

Dr. Will: No hesitation: I definitely want to see Monica Bailey there!
