Cheyenne Jackson from “Call Me Cat” does not rate her work

In an interview with Collider, Cheyenne Jackson was asked if signing for a role like the one he plays in “Call Me Kat” has ever been troubling, and Jackson talked about how he tries to keep his head out of his head. “I take on every new project, just trying to be in the moment, trying to breathe as much life into this person as possible, trying to connect with other people as much as possible and trying not to think too much,” he told Collider. “I was part of things when I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is slam dunk. Here it is”. And then it didn’t go anywhere. And I’ve also been involved in things like this where I thought, “This doesn’t quite work,” but then it was a big success. So I try not to judge what I do. working”. It looks like Jackson has a good mentality to try and get ahead of the “self-critical cascade” in his career.

In an interview with her co-star Mayim Bialik on her podcast called “The breakdown of Mayim Bialik”, Jackson explained that he suffered from depression and suicidal thoughts in his youth, largely because he came to terms with the fact that he was gay when he grew up in a conservative Christian environment. Luckily, he made it out the other side, but not before he had to come to terms with his identity and what he would lose by being himself. Given his previous mental health issues, it’s for the best that he found a way to avoid self-criticism in his work.
