Terrible coincidence. One tree’s hill Bevin Prince spoke about a creepy comment made by her late husband, William Friend, before his d*ath.
“Right in front [the lightning] hit him, he lit a cigar, looked at my father and said: “If we get struck by lightning, Mike, I want to be here,” said 40-year-old Prince during a speech on good morning america on Friday, December 9th. “And then it happened. I think it really was his time.”
Friend died at the age of 33 on July 3 after being struck by lightning near his home in Wilmington, North Carolina. According to VEKT News, the English native was on a boat near Masonborough Island when the accident happened. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him for 20 minutes before he was pronounced dead from his injuries.

“He was 33 years old. It was July 3rd and I believe the exact time the lightning struck was 3:13pm,” she shared. “So, knowing that there are all the resources to potentially save him, I have to trust that something bigger than me was calling him.”
Prince broke her silence on the CEO’s d*ath for the first time last week during an episode of the 1 on 1 with John Evans podcast, calling the heartbreaking event “an absolute living nightmare.”
“It was like every other day we’ve done a million times. The storm was far away, we are on a boat, everything is in order, ”she explained. “And then, in an instant, everything changed. There is no normal, and there is no textbook for this.”
groupie the actress added that although “sometimes doesn’t feel good,” she reminds herself that she has “two options” in her grief: “I can stay here on this planet, or I can’t, and that’s not my option.”
The prince and friend married in the Turks and Caicos Islands in May 2018. In 2021, they celebrated the fifth anniversary of their marriage.
“5 years old baby. Winston and me so lucky to meet you, love you and learn with you,” she wrote on Instagram, referring to her dog. “We’ve come this far and I’m so proud of the life we’ve built. You make life delicious, my love. I love you. ❤️”.
The couple moved to North Carolina in 2020 and often shared cute pictures on social media of them enjoying the state’s beaches. According to a friend’s Instagram biography, he was an “average amateur triathlete.” In 2019, the couple also founded a joint company called Recess. The cycling business addressed the entrepreneur’s d*mise by sharing a photo of the couple via their Instagram account on July 5.
“We greatly appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from our Recess community. Will’s knowledge, guidance and support is the foundation upon which Recess is built. “There was nothing that Will respected and valued more than the American dream, entrepreneurship and women in business. We know that he wanted this business to continue to be a great success and lead to the employment of many other people. Creating useful and meaningful jobs for others was a legacy Will wanted to leave.”
After Friend’s d*ath, former OTHER fellow stars took to social media to share kind words in honor of the triathlete.
