Bumping! Peta Murgatroyd and her husband Maxim Chmerkovskiyexpecting their rainbow baby after previous miscarriages – and the pregnant dancer is already in awe of her changing body.
“I have something growing in my stomach… it’s a baby,” Murgatroyd said in January 2023. Instagram video posted through her Peta Jane Beauty brand account. “Life is now wild, it is beautiful, and we are just in seventh heaven with happiness that we have a little nugget!”
Dancing with the Stars pro announced earlier that month that she was expecting baby #2 with a Ukrainian native.
“I am very pleased to finally announce that @maksimc and I are waiting for our Chmerkovskiy #2. ❤️”, Murgatroyd wrote on Instagram, revealing that she is due to give birth next June. “After 2 years of constant struggle and heartache, 3 miscarriages and a failed embryo transfer… we have a healthy bun in the oven :)) It was a shock to all of us and we found out right before I was going to the second round of IVF.”
She added at the time, “This news has brought extraordinary happiness to our family, and we have a lot to be thankful for.” 🙏🏻“.
Peta Jane Beauty Entrepreneur and Masked dancer The alum, who share a son, Shai, born in 2017, have been candid about their struggles with fertility as they hoped to expand their family one day. Murgatroyd previously had three miscarriages in two years, the last of which occurred in October 2021, before they started looking into in vitro fertilization (IVF).
“It hurts and [Maks is] the one that is closest to me,” said the New Zealand native exclusively. Us weekly in July 2022. “So he goes through this as much as I do, so to speak. It brought us closer. When you go through something like this, it’s just a final connection session. … When you come to these crossroads and these important decisions, making them together and moving forward together as a family unit is so important, and I feel like we did it.”
Upon learning that she was pregnant, Murgatroyd had already noticed many changes in her body.
“Some of you guys noticed that my ta-ta [have gotten bigger] and yes, you’re right, they’re absolutely huge,” she joked in her Peta Jane Beauty upload in January 2023, noting that “the same thing” happened when she was pregnant with Shai. “I really pray and really wish they would slow down a bit because I’m only four and a half months old and I need them to just relax. It’s a lot.”
