Amazon Prime Rings of Power Announces Another Batch of New Faces for Season 2

To keep up with its previous announcement of seven new cast members, Amazon has added an additional octet of actors confirmed to play recurring (albeit mysterious) roles in The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power season 2. The list of new regulars begins with stage, television and film stars Oliver Alvin-Wilson (The Cove, Wonder Woman, 1984), Stuart Bowman (The Pact, Versailles), William Chubb (The Pact, Versailles). The Sandman, Vampire Academy), Kevin Eldon (Game of Thrones, Shadow and Bone), and Will Keen (Wolf Hall, The Crown).

Theater and TV actor Gavi Singh Chera (Undeclared War, Project Lazarus) will also star in a Middle-earth series, as will British-Asian actress and martial arts champion Selina Lo (Hellraiser, One Child) To complete the announcement, streaming star Kalam Lynch (Black Beauty, Bridgerton) will also make her presence known.

Combined with the seven previously revealed names, this adds 15 new faces to a show already full of talent. There are a total of 36 recurring roles (37 new faces minus one recast character). It’s a huge cast that seems fitting for one of the biggest and most comprehensive fantasy worlds out there. The question is, will the audience be able to follow everyone – especially when these Tolkien names start to come into play? Fans will have to wait for the yet-to-be-announced Season 2 premiere to figure it out in real time.
