Al Roker Shares Update After Nearly A Month In Hospital: Tough Slog – KristenBellTattoos.com

today Show Weather anchor Al Roker made a virtual visit to the morning news show Monday to share a health update after two recent days in the hospital.

“Listen, it was a tough slog,” Rooker told his co-workers. “I’m not going to deny it. This has been the hardest yet – and you know I’ve had my share of surgeries.

Rooker was first hospitalized in November with blood clots in his lungs and legs. He was released on Thanksgiving Day, but returned shortly after due to complications. He was released again last Thursday.

“I have a lot of problems, but I feel good, I feel strong, and every day I feel a little better,” she continued. “I made dinner last night. I just feel like it’s a bit of a rant, but there are a lot of people who have to deal with a lot with very few resources. I’m very lucky and very I am fortunate to have the resources I have.

Rooker expressed his appreciation for his NBC News colleagues, who visited him in the hospital and helped lift his spirits, and today Viewers for their “prayers and thanks. I’m a very lucky person.”

Rooker, 68, said he is focused on regaining his strength before his return. today He also revealed that he had considered knee replacement surgery next month, but is putting it off until the end of 2023.

“You lose a certain amount of muscle for every week in the hospital, and I was in the hospital for four weeks,” he said. “It’s just a certain amount of weakness. I’m doing physical therapy every day, occupational therapy. I just have to get my strength back.

Rooker’s recent hospitalization prevented him from attending two of his traditional assignments: the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting.
